Plymouth Haven Youth Ministry
Mission Trip 2008

6/28/08 – 10:20 Czech Time

Well today was our last day of work!
The team finished the work they were doing on the halfway house today.  See the pictures for more details of the type of work we are doing.  The pastor here said that we were the hardest working group they had.  He said that we had accomplished much more than he had expected us to.  Of course, that is because we were working for the Kingdom of God.  We have seen the great work that is being done for the Kingdom here and are excited to be a part of it.
After finishing a little early today, we headed to the park for some sport evangelism.  We went to a park in Sokolov where they meet to play various sports and hang out.  We got out the good old football (a real football J) and taught the Czech’s how to throw.  Then we got a game of volleyball going.  Just by a weird coincidence, it ended up being the Americans versus the Czech’s and myself.  It was a lot of fun.
We broke for ice cream (a pretty common thing around here) and spent our final time with the Sokolov youth.  Tom Whalen struck up a great conversation with a teenager about Christianity while the rest of us were eating our ice cream.  After a while, we headed back to Olovi, for our last dinner with the people at the church.  Tomorrow morning we will go to church then head for Karl’s Bath (a spa town) then on to Prague.

See you all soon!
Matt
