Plymouth Haven Youth Ministry
Mission Trip 2008

6/24/08 – 8:40pm (Czech Republic Time)

Well, we have finally arrived in the Czech Republic and I am happy to report, we haven’t lost anyone yet…Lost about 10 bags going through Charles de Gaul airport in Paris and had some damage to others, but we got to see the Eiffel Tower so I guess it was worth it.  David has been here 2 days now and they still do not know for sure where his bags are.  But God has provided a place to wash clothes (a sink) and we are confident He will provide.
We arrived in Prague and then loaded into 3 vans for Sokolov, which is about 3 hours away and about 10 minutes from Germany.  We arrived to such a welcoming and warm group of people that we were immediately made to feel at home.  The group is staying in a halfway house (now vacant) which consists of apartments and offices- much nicer than we had expected.  They prepared a feast for us of such proportion that every youth had food left on their plates.  Not sure exactly what we ate, but everyone LOVED it.  The group is getting settled in here waiting for our bags to arrive from Prague.
Tomorrow is going to be a full day!  We will be breaking into 3 groups, 2 going to the local High School and 1 going to the new halfway house sponsored by the church in Liboc.  We will be speaking in the schools tomorrow, sharing our testimony in the school (amazing!), and working on the new halfway house.  We will also have a special meet-and-greet tomorrow night with the church and community who we will see tomorrow.
More updates to come.  Pray that God uses this group for amazing things.  Pray that God will provide for an awesome harvest among the people of the Czech Republic.

In Christ,
Matt
